European Markets are stable this morning;

~Smith Barney downgraded the equipment manufacturers on the Semiconductors including AMAT, AEIS, MTSN, and ASYT.

~Prudential says retail sales will be Neutral at best.

~KSE - taken over in the Natural Gas sector which could help that sector today;

Oil: HAL - awarded a $2.4B no bid contract from the government;

Breaking News:

~CSCO - completes acquisition of Scientific Atlantic;

~GE and a Macquarie investment fund are vying to buy a big stake in TXU's electricity-delivery business, in a deal that

could be valued at more than $5 billion.

~DTV - will be buying 100M shares @ 15.50 from the GM retirement account;
